Roma, Italy, Thursday 24 September
The template I am using for this is perfect for blog newbies like me. Indeed I am finding writing about my day far more relaxing than I ever anticipated. While here at the Parco I have evening time on my hands, it is a bit out of the night time way. There is though, I now appreciate, a different way of thinking when you know you are going to write about happenings later. I like that I get to enjoy the highlights twice and I suspect that this makes the day more memorable. It also saves me from facing the restaurant on my own every night. However… I can’t figure out if I can upload more than one photo or not? when I have tried to the template just ignores me. If anyone has any blogspot tips on this or a web address on changing the page layout, please send it to me, I would be most appreciative.
The pic on the first entry is the Trevi Fountain mid afternoon surrounded by bloody tourists! I had another to load from earlier in the day for comparison but see above…good things come to those who wait.
The pic on the second entry is of Palatine Hill. The legendary birthplace of Rome – ie the site where Romulus and Remus were found by a shepherd while being suckled by a she-wolf (!!!). The hill the Coliseum side (this is just a few hundred metres from the Coliseum) was apparently the first ever Roman garrison, with thanks to one of the twins.
I will try and remember to give you a word or two about future pics.
