Cascais, Thursday 29 October
Woke up this morning to clear blue skies again. Thirty minutes later there were rain clouds. What a tease. I would have been beside myself to have a second yuck day. But then out came the sun again and it has stayed around all day. The only thing to do, lap up the pool. Second book (Kate Grenville) almost done.
Am mentally preparing for the homeward run. My lovely taxi driver is picking me up tomorrow and will drive me to Lisbon airport (for about the same price as me travelling Auckland airport to the North Shore), then I head to London and late tomorrow night I am Hong Kong bound to spend a few days with Carmel. The weather there I hear is also beautiful and the pool is ready and waiting for me. Bliss.
